Note: Arcana is the plural form of the Latin word arcanus ("secret"), from which we get the English word arcane.

The 78 Tarot cards are divided into two groups, the 56 Minor Arcana, which correspond to the modern playing cards but with the addition of a Page card between the 10 and the Knight, and the 22 Major Arcana, which are the Tarot proper, the cards actually used for divination.

Because the name Pandora is considered feminine in English, the name of Marik's "Master of Dark Magicians" was changed to Arkana, which is an alternate spelling of Arcana.
